Soledad Díaz is the Chief Executive Officer of YWCA Boulder County, a role she assumed in January 2026. A respected nonprofit executive, coalition leader, and public policy strategist, she brings deep experience advancing racial justice, gender equity, and survivor-centered systems change at the local, state, and national levels. A bilingual (Spanish/English) leader, Díaz most recently served as Interim Executive Director of Violence Free Colorado, the statewide coalition against domestic violence, and previously as its Public Policy Director, where she led statewide legislative strategy contributing to the passage of landmark legislation including HB24-1122 and HB24-1349. Her earlier frontline work includes serving as Shelter Program Director at Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence (SPAN) in Boulder. Díaz currently serves as Co-Chair of the City of Boulder Police Oversight Panel and on the Public Policy Committee of the National Network to End Domestic Violence, among other community roles. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Law from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and brings a strong foundation in mediation, organizational management, and trauma-informed leadership. |
